Beáta Szabó is a painter and visual artist who lives and works in Budapest. She creates her works in the triple unity of body, food and magic. She is inspired by the experience of the female body and the kitchen as an alchemical laboratory. She is interested in the viscera, the inside of the body. She represents food in her body or builds a body out of food. For her, magic is a healing science that can be used to redress social and historical injustices.
