Vasilis Zarifopoulos lives and works in Athens, Greece. He studied in the University of Aegean and in Kunstakademie Düsseldorf where he received his Master from Rita McBride. Currently he is an artist and curator at Ergo Collective. His artistic practice diverse in different mediums with an autobiographical context and high interest in contemporary social issues. Vasilis is seeking collaborations combining curating and art-making and blurring the limitations of each practice, aiming in creating situations and studying relations and their social context. He had exhibit among others in Sub Rosa, Arcade Gallery, Villa Empain, Life Sport, PAN, Shehta, TAF, Parkhaus, MACBA, Malkasten, Kunstverein Düsseldorf, Duisburg and Benaki Museum. Also he had work for Life Sport, Public Programs of Documenta 14, Kunsthalle Athena, Athens Biennale, MEΣA, Cycladic Museum and NEON projects with Whitechapel Gallery, Tino Sehgal and Marina Abramovic.
