Hammann von Mier (HVM) is the collaborative project of the artists Stefanie Hammann and Maria VMier. In 2013 they founded a publishing house for artists’ books in Munich – out of a constant interest in the work and thinking of other artists. Occasionally HVM are the authors themselves. The small editions are shown, discussed and distributed in various contexts. The publishing house as a self-organized and constant place of collaborative artistic production. The publishing house as a network for sharing knowledge and ideas. Over time Hammann von Mier Verlag has participated in many international art book fairs, e.g. New York Art Book Fair, L.A. Art Book Fair, FLAT Turin etc. Their publications are part of international artists‘ books collections such as Thomas J. Watson Library in the Metropolitan Museum (NYC), Joan Flasch Artists' Book Collection (Chicago), Weserburg (Bremen), Archive Artist Publications (Munich).
