MK: Campus #20

No Future Hope? The question of our uncertain future constantly arises in these crisis-ridden times. And yet we are all experiencing positive moments that give us hope – for the good things to come. The Campus is a space for alliances, sharing, listening and taking action together. Together we will look at the exhibition ‘No Future Hope’ by Nina E. Schönefeld, curated by the Habibi Kiosk team, get to know the Lothringer 13 Halle art space and the Münchner Kammerspiele theatre and take up our own position.

Participation is free of charge and is aimed at people aged 15 to 30.
Registration at mitmachen@kammerspiele.de
We look forward to seeing you!

Location: Lothringer 13 Halle & Habibi Kiosk

WORKSHOP 1: Die_Redaktion
Work on the magazine and presentation at the Habibi Kiosk (from 6 pm)
with Julia Richter & Jakob Weiß
[Habibi Kiosk]

Die_Redaktion started in February 2023 as a regular, open and self-structured collective for teenagers and young adults who were able to find and use their artistic, social or political voice through self-designed zines. The youth editorial team met in the municipal art space at Lothringer 13, with current exhibition content often contributing to the topics of the zines.
Now Die_Redaktion is a guest at the Münchner Kammerspiele as part of the MK Campus#20 NO FUTURE HOPE. The exhibition NO FUTURE HOPE by Nina E. Schönefeld will be the starting point for our joint publication.
During the workshop weekend, the participants will go through all the work processes: from finding a topic, conception and contribution design to the production and presentation of the zine in the Habibi Kiosk on Saturday, 2 February 2025. Working together on a zine and exchanging ideas are at the centre of the workshop.

Saturday, 1 February 2025
12pm - 7pm

FILM WORKSHOP 2: ‘How the f*ck to find hope’
with Stella Deborah Traub & Nadja Ißler with a presentation of the videos at Habibi KIosk at 6 pm
[Kammerspiele München]

How can we find hope in times of an increasing shift to the right and a seemingly unstoppable climate crisis?
For one afternoon, we will approach the question of hope together using documentary and film elements.
In the style of cinema verité, which later gave rise to the simple ‘street survey’, we will look for hope in ourselves and our fellow citizens in Munich's city centre. Please bring a mobile phone with film function to the workshop.

Julia Richter is an art mediator and trend analyst in Munich. The trained fashion designer deals with social issues in her artistic and mediation work and translates these into sustainable, cross-generational mediation concepts and workshops that break down barriers and encourage joint dialogue and collective work.
At Lothringer 13 Halle, she has developed dialogue-based mediation formats for young people and young adults, the textile network ‘Knit or Knot’, as well as the zine youth collective ‘Die_Redaktion’ in collaboration with Jakob Weiß and the ‘Arbeitslabor’ project. Long-term and sustainable exchange through collaborative work is one of the central concerns.
Since 2024, she has also been working in the cultural department for the Rathausgalerie.

Jakob Weiß is a mediating artist and musician. He studied sculpture and art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In addition to art, he can be found behind the turntables at one event or another. His music project is called blanc and will soon be bringing new music to light. With the car park gallery DAS TROTTOIR, Weiß was also active as a curator and realised 13 exhibitions in public spaces. Even during his studies, he worked for the Refugio Kunstwerkstatt, where he now works full-time and coordinates and organises numerous workshops for children and young adults who have experienced flight. At Lothringer 13 Halle, he has been offering interactive exhibition tours for young people for three years, organising the music series ‘Listening’ and the zine format ‘Die_Redaktion’ with Julia Richter.

Stella Deborah Traub, born 1996, (she/they/no pronouns) is a freelance photographer and filmmaker. She studies documentary film directing at the HFF Munich and focuses on queer-feminist perspectives and narratives in her work. Her films have been screened internationally at various film festivals. Stella is part of the interdisciplinary Munich artist collective queer:raum. Her photographs are regularly included in group exhibitions and published in magazines and online publications.

Nadja Ißler was born in Munich in 1999. She worked as a set assistant in various departments before starting her studies in documentary film directing at the HFF Munich in 2019. As a DAAD scholarship holder, she completed a guest study programme at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires in 2023.
