Judith Engel is a freelance writer. Her essayistic and literary texts are mostly created in cooperation with other artists or as a reaction to their work. At the center of her work, despite different formats and genres, is an interest in the limits of linguistic expression, discursive exclusion mechanisms, and the power structures associated with them.
She has also been writing about theater, art, and performance since 2013. In 2019, she received a scholarship for literature from the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg. She is part of the artist* collective Gruppe CIS.
