Jonas Höschl

Jonas Höschl (*1995, Regensburg) ist Konzeptkünstler und Fotograf. Für sein künstlerisches Werk, welches die Medien Druckgrafik, Sound, Video und Installation umfasst, erhielt er unter anderem den Paula Modersohn-Becker Kunstpreis, den Bayerischen Kunstförderpreis für Bildende Kunst, sowie den deutschen Fotobuchpreis. Er veröffentlichte die Kunstbücher Fade Away Medley (Das Wetter), Politik von Medienbildern (Hatje Cantz), sowie zuletzt 80 Portraits: 73 Männer, 7 Frauen (Verlag für moderne Kunst).
In seinen druckgraphischen Werken und Videoarbeiten hinterfragt er das identitätsstiftende Potential politischer Systeme. Anhand von regionalen Politskandalen und europäischen Konflikten zeigt er die Entfremdung von einenden Idealen auf. Jonas Höschl eignet sich die zum Teil historischen Bildsprachen unterschiedlich ausgerichteter Ideologien an, um die propagandistische Manipulation offenzulegen. Durch Rekontextualisierung verweist er auf die Referentialität von Zeitdokumenten.
