Karina Synytsia

Karina Synytsia (geb. 1999, Sewerodonezk, Region Luhansk) ist eine bildende Künstlerin, die derzeit in Kiew lebt. Sie studierte Malerei am Kunstkolleg Charkiw (2015–2019) und schloss 2023 ihr Studium an der Nationalen Akademie der Bildenden Künste und Architektur mit einem Abschluss in monumentaler und Staffeleimalerei ab. Ihre Praxis ist in der Malerei verwurzelt, mit einem Schwerpunkt auf monumentalen Techniken wie Wandmalerei. Sie untersucht architektonische Strukturen und Landschaften und reflektiert über Leere, Verfall und Transformation von Räumen und Objekten. In ihrer Arbeit erscheinen architektonische Elemente eher als Dekorationen urbaner Umgebungen denn als zentrale Motive, während der Kern die Manifestation menschlicher Emotionen, Zustände und sozialer Aspekte des Lebens bleibt. Ihre Werke sind in der ukrainischen Sektion des Secondary Archive sowie in den Archivprojekten The Sky Is Open. Voices From Ukraine und Ukraine Ablaze vertreten.
